Activities

National Folk-Moots are open to Activists, supporters and anyone else who wishes to attend a Cult of Woden Folk-Moot, and these include:-

England Day Folk-Moot - Eostra 23rd. This is our yearly All-Thing when WF Activists and WF Supporters have their say, air their views, give suggestions, and make their grievances known. This is England's national day which we honour each year.

Midsummer Folk-Moot - Held each year around the Summer Sun-Wend or Midsummer Day, and held in honour of the Sun-God, Baldaeg.

East Anglia Folk-Moot - Held in August each year in East Anglia, this is a social gathering in rural England when the folk gather together in the summer.

Battle Abbey Folk-Moot - In October, we sometimes hold an activity at Battle Abbey, East Sussex. Here we honour the death of the English King, Harold Godwinsson, who was slain at the Battle of Hastings. We do not hold this moot every year, and details are given in our newsletter - the Hammer of Thunor.

DETAILS of NATIONAL ACTIVITIES -

Details for any of the National Folk-Moots will be given out on request. This is only done through the normal mail service to the normal WF mail address. We welcome newcomers to our Folk-Moots and also any other Odinists who may feel they wish to attend. However - we reserve the right to refuse to give details to anyone if we feel these details will be misused in some way.

Localised Folk-Moots -

Local groups arrange their own Folk-Moots, and local areas come together to hold joint Folk-Moots, these are closed to outsiders and open only to Hearths and Gemoots. Activities vary from area to area.

Co-operation with other Groups -

Woden's Folk recognises that all Odinist groups and individual Odinists are struggling for the same cause, and that we belong to the same Folk-Group struggling for its survival. We share the same self-sacrifice for our Gods and Folk. We would welcome joint Folk-Moots with our like-minded groups. Only through coming together as a Folk can we face and win against overwhelming odds. United we stand - Divided we fall!

Folk-Moots and Activities - Being a Nature Religion we hold all of our Folk-Moots out-of-doors at ancient sites across England. If and when we do hold indoor Folk-Moots they will be for specialised education work. it is our policy to work outdoors in rural areas where possible, since rural areas are the backbone of the true English Nation.
