Due to the Precession of the Equinoxes there is a cosmic cycle of nearly 26,000 years which is broken into 12 world-ages, each of around 2000 years. The last age was the Age of Pisces - Age of Christ (Hanged God) - whilst the New Age is the Age of Aquarius - Age of Ing (The Son). Each world-age has its own god-force that rules over it, the last 2000 years being ruled over by the Hanged God; the present world-age will be ruled by the Crowned and Conquering Son. Woden's Folk has recognised the need to create a new form of our Ur-Religion that is suited to this archetype. This is why we differ from the others in our promotion of a new god-force for the Age of Ing. This is ruled over by Ing ("Son") whose land is England.

The religion of Woden was based upon the concept of knowledge gained through self-sacrifice, as shown by Woden hanging upon the World Tree (Iggdrasil) to gain the Wisdom of the Runes. To do so he needed to suffer and thus sacrifice himself to himself in order to help his Folk. The Judaeo-Christian religion twisted this idea into that of a figure of humiliation, suffering for some unknown "sins" and content in defeat and degradation to go to his death without a fight. This was a complete distortion of the true figure of the Hanged God. As a Folk we have suffered upon our own cross, having been oppressed and enslaved for well over a thousand years under an alien yoke, our gods distorted and maligned, and our Folk subject to torture and death simply because they held on to the Old Ways. For so long have we suffered - and now we descend from the Tree of Woe to once more take up our own fate, and to exact just vengeance upon those who have wronged us - under the leadership of the Last Avatar and Incarnation of Woden who will arise here in England to lead us to victory.
