Wodenic Prophecy
At least one prominent Odinist has stated to me that prophecy has no role to play in Odinism; that may be true of Odinism, of which he is a part, but it is not true of Wodenism, which firmly embraces prophecy as part of the movement. Woden was a seer in his own right, and there are instances of prophetic utterance in the Norse Myths. Here I am going to outline certain prophecies of the past which are relevant today, and align them with Wodenic Prophecy of the present – which is certainly relevant for us, since we can then read the Signs of the Times.
The Dawning of a New Age - At 11.11am on August 11th 1999 the new age was conceived. This important event was symbolised by the Solar Eclipse which was seen across Europe and across those parts of the world where the ancient Indo-Europeans had lived. The conception of the New Age was foreseen by certain Sun-Initiates who hid their secrets in various places; secrets that would one day come to light through later Sun-Initiates who would read the Signs of the Times.
Looking first at Norse Mythology we find the following quote from The Prophecy of the Seeress :
“...............the sun dimmeth From the heavens fall the fair bright stars....” (Stanza 56)
I know no-one else who has noticed the similarity between this statement and one made in the Christian Bible –
“...............shall the Sun be darkened......and the stars shall fall from heaven....” (Matthew 24:29)
But we have far more detail of this in the book of Matthew which, I must add, was rewritten in the time of King James, most likely rewritten by a group of Initiates who hid the secrets here, where they would never be destroyed. The figure of Jesus is asked –
“...............what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” (Matthew 24:3)
This is the piece that is mistakenly taken for an actual world-ending, but its true meaning is that of the ending of a world-age (the Greek word used is aeon). The answer to this was that there would be wars, and rumours of wars, that nation would rise up against nation, that there would be famines, disease, and earthquakes in many regions of the world, that false prophets would arise and deceive the masses. I doubt that anyone could refute the correctness of these statements, for the world is full of wars, famines, epidemics, earthquakes and various other natural disasters; and in regard to the “false prophets” the world is becoming like the Life of Brian. There is another piece that is of significance here –
“And except those days should be shortened.......but for the Elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:22)
Time does seem to be moving at a faster rate in our times, for the days seem to fly by; this seems to be what is hinted at here. And it does seem as if the End Times are crushed together into a very short period of time, everything happening in one short period of time at the end of the Cycle of the Ages.
After these comments we find that the Sun is darkened and the stars fall from the heavens, which would be the Solar Eclipse of August 11th 1999 and the Perseid Meteor Shower on August 12th. There follows a piece that proves beyond doubt that these things are correct, for we read –
“And then shall appear the Sign of the Son of Man in heaven.....” (Matthew 24:30)
What is the “Sign of the Son of Man”? To understand this we need to consider the following clip which appeared in the Daily Mail at the time of the Solar Eclipse. This, it would seem, would have been no coincidence.

Here we can see that the Solar Eclipse occurs in Leo the Lion, where the Sun and Moon are together in a kind of Sacred Marriage. Not shown here is that the planet Venus is also in this house. The Sign of the Son of Man could here be seen as the Cross which marks the Four Beasts of the Apocalypse – Leo (Lion), Aquarius (Man), Scorpio (Eagle = Aquila), and Taurus (Bull-Calf). But we can see here that there is also a diamond-shape made up when the points are joined. This is a Germanic Ing-Rune.
To understand this mystery we need to look at the Third Aettir of the Rune-Row where this is revealed –
Tiw – The Sky-Father
Beorc – The Moon-Goddess
Eh – The Sacred Marriage of the Sun-God and Moon-Goddess
Man – The Manu, (Hama-Heimdall) who revives the Divine Order of the Gods (Caste System)
Lagu – The Great Flood (symbolic or real).
Ing – The Son, the Sun-Hero
This is as far as we need to go at this time, for here we see clearly the Divine Marriage of the Sky-Father (Sun) and the Moon-Goddess; this is underlined when we look at pictures of the Solar Eclipse where a “Marriage Ring” appears around it. From this Divine Wedding is conceived the new age, and we can see how this was “earthed” in the next few years with such events as the Cattle Slaughter surrounding the Foot and Mouth epidemic. The title “Ing” means “son of” and in the above we see that Ing is the “son of” the Man-Rune. We find this made clear in a German Legend where Mannus has three offspring – Herminones, Istvaeones, and Ingvaeones. The Ingvaeones are the “Friends of ing”; hence the Son of Man is Ing and the Ing-Rune is the Sign of the Son of Man.
The Solar Eclipse of 1999 was also predicted by Nostradamus, and we can find yet another part of this mystery through looking at his prophecy –
“In the year 1999 and seven months, from the sky will come the great King of Terror. He will bring back to life the great King of Angolmois. Before and after Mars reigns supreme.”
Prophesies of Nostradamus : Century 10:72
Hidden here is another mystery concerning the new age; for the Divine Marriage will give birth not only to a new World-Age, but also to an avatar that will usher in the new Golden Age – the Last Avatar. The dating of July 1999 is astounding, one month out due to calendar changes made since the time of Nostradamus. We are here told that at this time the great King of Terror – the Solar Eclipse – will appear in the sky, and this will bring back to life the “King of Angolmois”. This name has been seen as an anagram of the French Mongolois, but even the letters do not tally with this idea, and I feel that we would be better rendering this as it is said – Angol-mois. That is, the “King of the Angles”. The rightful “King of the English” would be their Divine Ancestor - Ing. It is here hinted that the Solar Eclipse and planetary conjunction will bring back to life the figure of Ing. The reference to Mars – the War-God – could be either to Tiw or even to Woden, both of whom were linked with war and battle.
Each world-age has its own god-form or archetype; this we can see from historical records of the Bull-Cults (Age of Taurus), Ram-Cults (Age of Aries) and Fish-Cults (Age of Pisces). It would thus seem logical to assume that the old archetype of the Age of Pisces would be now outdated. The dominant symbol of this age was the “Hanged God”, whether this is Christ or Odin, or any other figure of this particular archetype. When Friedrich Nietzsche declared that “God is dead!” he referred to the dead, outworn archetype of the “Hanged God”. This was the same when others declared that “Odin is dead!” for this referred, not to Odin as a whole, but to his archetypal role as the “Hanged God”.
Going back to Norse Mythology we find that the Twilight of the Gods is called “Ragnarok”. Using an age-old technique known to the ancients we can decipher the meaning of this word. In Hermetic Lore we find the phrase “As Above – So Below”, but this is not quite correct, for the true saying should be “As Above – So Below, but in a mirror-image of one another”. In other words the Earth is a mirror-image of the Heavens. Ragnarok is clearly the Battle of the Gods – in the heavens. Its mirror-image (reflection) is Korangar which is Koran-Gar – “Spear of the Koran”. Islamic Militancy is the sign that heralds the Last Battle upon Middle-Earth.
In “The Short Seeress’ Prophecy” we can find a significant passage that tells us exactly what is happening in our era, and the secrets of the New Age. This passage needs to be read carefully in order to understand what is said.
“The stormy sea to the stars is tossed, Overwhelms the land – the heavens rive. Thence come great snows and sweeping blasts, Then are doomed to die the drooping gods.
Was a Mighty One born, matchless in strength,
He was nursed and grew of the sap of the ground;
Most high-minded he ‘mongst the hallowed gods,
In sib with all sires and sons of earth.
A god will come then, an e’en Greater One:
I dare not speak his dreaded name.
Farther forward few can see now
Than Woden fighting the Fenris Wolf.
Stanzas 15-18
In the first stanza we read of a Great Flood that will engulf the world, overwhelming the lands. There follows mighty winds and heavy snowfalls. At this time we find the Doom of the Gods. This passage seems to hint of a flood that will be followed by freezing cold and a new Ice Age – so much for “global warming”. It should be noted that this section is written in the present tense, referring to our times.
The second stanza tells us that “Was a Mighty One born....”, which is clearly in the past tense, and I see this as referring to a time before the Great Flood. Indeed, this parallels the story of Manu who appears prior to a Great Flood in order to save the Vedas – the Ancient Knowledge of the Aryans. Here the “Mighty One” can be seen to be the Norse equivalent of Manu – Rig-Hama (Rig-Heimdall). This is obvious from the statements that he is “in sib with all sires and sons of earth” and that he “was nursed and grew on the sap of the ground”, both attributes of Rig-Hama. It is Rig-Hama who appears prior to the Great Flood in order to save the Eddas, and also to reinstate the Divine Order of the Gods – the Caste System. This occurs in the past prior to the Great Flood.
The last stanza tells us that “A god will come then...” being written in the future tense, that which is to come. Here we see that a Greater One shall come, whose “dreaded name” cannot be spoken, for few can see far enough into the future when Woden is swallowed by the Fenris-Wolf. This is an astronomical event. Woden, as the Hanged God, is symbolised by the Ear-Rune of the English Rune-Row, which again represents Cygnus the Swan. Cygnus the Swan is the pointer to our Galactic Centre, since it can be seen over the “Dark Rift” at the centre of the Milky Way. In Saxon sky-lore the constellation around the Dark Rift was known as “The Greater Wolf’s Jaws”, which in mythical terms is the Fenris Wolf! Here, the Fenris Wolf “swallows” the god Woden, i.e. he “swallows” the Hanged God and ends the world-age, the Age of Pisces.
Woden as the Hanged God is the god who is crucified in space, being known as Vishvakarma in India. The Crucified God is the archetype of the Age of Pisces, being Christ, Woden, or any other figure of the same kind. Yet in our mythology we find that the Son of Woden – Widar – tears open the Wolf’s Jaws to slay the Wolf. This is a significant symbol, for to do so means he would release the Spirit of Woden, the Spirit of All-Father, and thus Woden, the Hanged God, is reborn as Widar – The Avenging Son. Woden has stepped down from the Tree of Woe with the knowledge needed to lead his Folk through a new phase in their Cosmic Evolution. It must be remembered that Widar is now “The Silent One” for as yet the new age has not dawned.
“Wulf’s Prophecy” –
Here now this my prophecy,
'Tis now the time for all to see:
The truth was long ago foretold,
In ancient lands by men of old.
20-12 : the End of Time,
Harken to this eerie rhyme:
False prophets spreading doom and gloom
I bring new hope - Wyrd spins the loom.
One world! One Sex! One Race! - they cry!
Cease! False prophets - stem your lies!
World Peace? I mock your empty words,
This land will fall by Fire and Sword!
Listen, people of the South,
The Word comes from the horse's mouth:
This land shall sink beneath the waves,
So seek not shelter in the caves.
When the Silent Pool will rise,
Storm-Clouds gather in the skies:
Raging seas crash through the Downs,
White Horses followed by the Hounds.
The Mighty One, nursed of the dew,
Scorned by the mass - held by the few:
A e'en Greater One shall come,
When the Wolf devours the Sun.
When all seems lost, all hope is gone,
Then shall arise The Hooded One:
When the Silent Pool shall rise,
Stars align o'er Northern Skies.
The Milky Way, our galaxy,
Born at the Centre of the Tree,
A Man-Child - Virile Warrior,
Son of the Wolf, the Mother bore.
Son of Woden - Son of Earth,
The Womb of England shall give birth:
The Child of Light shall wield the Sword,
From out his mouth shall come The Word.
Wolf's Jaws engulf the Hanged God,
The cycle ended by the Dog:
The Blue Star shines bright in the sky,
The Hanged God now he must die.
At the Centre of the Tree,
The Black Sun shines, tho' few can see:
Through the Triangle shall come
Widar - The Avenging Son!
The Hallowed One, bearing The Word,
He who wields the Broken Sword:
Forged anew by Wayland wise,
Whose sparks light up the Northern Skies.
One World! World Peace! - They cry in vain,
The Lords of Law arise again:
False princes - Tremble on this Earth!
The galaxy is giving birth.
Sent by the Gods to kindle war,
Helgi wields the Flaming Sword:
The Wolfing leads a Mighty Force,
Mounted on a pure White Horse.
When helmet of the Hunter-God,
Appears once more on Downland Sod:
When spear is shaken, splintered shield,
The Sword of Wrath this God will wield.
Inside the Treasure-Box is hid,
Beneath the Wooden Casket's lid:
Dark Goddess - Ruler of our time,
The Torcs from He she seeks to hide.
But she shall hide the Rings in vain,
The Golden Torcs are found again:
The age is ended - Hail the Dawn!
The Dragon slain - The evil gone.
Awaited long, the Golden Age,
Prophesied by many a sage:
The Child of Light shall end the old,
The Rightful King - The Warrior bold!
This prophecy is made up of certain “predictions” that could happen it the future; The Comment on this is printed below –
-
The prophecy is based upon the run-up to the End of Time which many see as 2012, though this is a date much banded about within the Established Order. Woden’s Folk has deliberately set this date as a pointer for change, and so that a set time-scale is made for preparation for change.
-
War and catastrophic change is implied throughout the work; this is something that clearly links to ancient predictions for this era, and we are already living through an era of continuous war.
-
A Great Flood is predicted, which has been the subject of various vivid dreams by myself, my wife, and other prominent Wodenists. Whether this “Great Flood” is symbolic or real only time will tell, but since the rising of the Silent Pool (Surrey) is mentioned this gives a pointer to when this could happen. Another pointer to the scenario of a real flood can be seen from the reference to “white horses” which is a metaphor for the waves of the sea.
-
The Mighty One mentioned here is the figure of an avatara that arise prior to the Great Flood, and does not refer to the Last Avatara who appears when the Wolf’s Jaws swallow the Sun-God – Woden.
-
The Hooded Man appears at the time when the Silent Pool rises, and when the stars align in the Northern Skies. This figure will arise here in England.
-
Woden will be “swallowed” by the Wolf’s Jaws, a constellation that looks askance toward the Pole Star. This is also related to the Dog-Star (Sirius) which bays at the heels of Orion the Hunter (the “Blue Star”). This heralds the end of the era of the hanged god and the transition into the era of the Crowned and Avenging Son.
-
The Avenging Son (Widar-Ing-Helgi) will come through The Triangle which is obviously linked to the Summer Triangle at a cosmic level, but would also be linked to a spot in England where this god-force will materialize. The Hallowed One refers to Helgi the Wulfinga who is the Last Avatar and Incarnation of Woden upon the Earth. This figure wields the word-sword (the spoken word) and also the Flaming Sword (the Sword of the Wolsungas, re-forged by Wayland thee Smith – in one sense this is “Albion”, the English Nation). Helgi Hundingbane is an avatara-type figure of Norse Mythology that appeared at a certain critical point of the Cycle of the Ages, when war was to be kindled at the start of the Dark Age or Warg Age. The figure of HelgiH incarnates again at the end of the Cycle of the Ages, to once again lead a mighty host against the Forces of Darkness and Matter.
-
The helmet of the Hunter-God has already re-appeared on the Long Man of Wilmington when Trinny & Suzannah tried to desecrate the figure by turning it into a woman – and in doing so the wily wizard and Trickster-God (Woden) must have laughed his socks off! And again, when some “joker” painted a large erect phallus upon the Hunter-God, once more a “helmet” appeared on the figure, and how Woden must have laughed as he prepares to mount his White Horse (Sleipnir) to bring this rotten world to a sudden and catastrophic end!
-
The Golden Torcs mentioned here relate to the future finding of such a treasure on a mountain in Britain. This has not come about as yet, and it does not refer to any treasure found in this land at this point of time. (Note: after I had written this piece Hamasson referred me to a finding of 4 Golden Torcs near to Stirling in Scotland; this hoard was found on September 29th 2009 by a metal-detector.)
