The Way of the Warrior

The Warrior Way assumes a natural hierarchy that exists to create the basis for higher advancement along the path towards enlightenment. The term hierarchy derives from the Greek hieros which means “sacred”. Hierarchy thus means “Sovereignty of the Sacred”. Those today who deride any form of hierarchical order thus also deride the sacred in life. Hierarchy assumes no equality in life - for we are all unique and individual, though part of a unique Folk-Group.

Forces of Order - Order, law, spiritual hierarchy, & tradition.
Forces of Chaos - Disintegrates, subverts, degrades, promotes the predominance of the inferior over the superior, matter over spirit, and quantity over quality.

The way of the Solar-Warrior today is to promote the former (Order) amongst our own Folk, whilst using the latter (Chaos) as a means to destroy the power of those who oppress our Folk.  It is the imposition of Law, Order and Tradition that is of utmost importance at this time - for only through creating a healthy Folk can we survive the catastrophic times that are with us, and that are worsening as the years roll on.

Northern hierarchical order -

Thrall - The way of the masses, the herd, motivated only by the very basic means of survival - food, shelter, procreation and diversion. This is the way of the servant, the labourer, the manual workers who need constant supervision.

We all need to cultivate the means to provide the basic needs of our own survival, and to do the manual work needed to survive. Manual labour is essential to any society. Today, however, the masses have been turned into a proletariat which is nothing more than a mass of slaves whose lives are controlled by others through being dependent upon others for everyday needs. The means of survival - food, shelter, procreation & diversion - are in the hands of others who control the everyday lives of the herd.
The masses are fed simple diversions, and become dependent upon alcohol, drugs & sexual gratification to feed their miserable lives. Their minds are controlled by the media, especially the television. They need “counselling” for every disaster in life’s struggle, and end their days without ever achieving anything of note.

The way of the thrall must be transmuted into the Common Folk of England who will live a more joyful life through manual work that is healthy and brings strength of character. There will always be followers, and always the need for healthy manual work.

Karl - This level is motivated by self-interest and personal gain. This is the self-reliant yeoman, artisans, farmers, craftsmen, and businessmen. In Anglo-Saxon society, and Germanic society as a whole, the Yeoman-Farmer Class was a most important section of society since a very strong peasant-class was essential to a healthy rural society.

The negative side to this class is the Capitalist feature based solely upon envy and greed; this has led us into untold disasters. This feature runs side by side with the proletariat element of the thralls - they are two sides of the same coin. Both of these two classes have a positive side and a negative side; unfortunately it is the negative sides that form the basis of our modern society.

Earl - These have evolved beyond the basic desire for the accumulation of wealth, possessions and status - i.e. beyond self. Their desires lead them to higher ideals. In the true spirit of the Solar Warrior they are often willing to sacrifice their own lives, or their possessions & status, for their ideals.

The Solar Warrior has given up self-interest and self-gain for a higher ideal; self gives way to the higher concept of the Folk. The Wera dedicates his life to the Higher Struggle and to the Folk as an organic concept.

Kon - At this level the individual has evolved beyond all self-interest & selfishness and is capable of thinking and acting in accordance with an inner awareness. All energy at this level is focussed and concentrated beyond self. This level is the level of the highest leadership.

The way of the Thrall is servitude and dependence upon others, and it is the way followed by the majority today. However, in times gone by even the thralls were more self-reliant than the urban masses of today. We have much to learn from relearning the very basic survival needs which have been lost in our world of dependence upon the state & big-business (which we all are to one extent or another).
From the world of the Karl we can relearn the crafts of old, and the responsibilities that go with positions of power. We should know when to plant and when to harvest, when to buy and when to sell. This way we learn the rhythms of nature. The Karl knows how to live off the land without harming it. Today their role has been distorted, and the merchants have been transformed into the greedy capitalists and gold-hoarders.

The Earl trained in the Warrior-Arts and learned the Ancient Wisdom of the Runes. This is the leadership class from which is chosen the Folk-Leader. He is a healer both of body and spirit. He knows the ways of Gods & Men. If we know nothing then we are able to learn - if we think we know everything then we shall never learn anything. Today’s youth has been brought up to believe that they know everything - and they are thus able to learn nothing. Wisdom is gained by years of study and experience - the wise are old in years and there is wisdom in age.

I am reminded here of the story of a Chinese sage who was giving his teachings to a young lad. The young lad spent long hours pouring out his knowledge to the old man, who interrupted him to ask him if he wanted tea. Given a positive reply the old man poured the tea into his cup, failing to stop when it reached the top and overflowed. The lad exclaimed that the cup was overflowing, but the old man merely poured away all of the tea from the cup. He told the lad to pour away all of his own mind until it was empty, which he could then fill up with the knowledge given to him by his master.

None of us are in a position today to say that we are totally self-reliant, self-sufficient, and are not dependent upon others at all. None of us today can say that our minds are not controlled by our past conditioning and by the conditioning that is thrust upon us today by the society we live in. No matter how much we would like to say that we are able to rely totally upon our own resources and are totally outside the control of others, we cannot in truth make such a statement in honesty.  It must thus be our prime aim to change ourselves before we are able to show others the way to change themselves - and thus to change society and the world as a whole.

When we refer to the mass of people as The Masses or The Proletariat this may be seen as using a derogatory term towards what has been  called The Herd Animal. The latter term is Nietzschean and is not really appropriate, for some of the people in these lands are far lower than animals in their life-behaviour. Nevertheless, in using such terms we must never overlook the fact that the masses are just that - a mass. They are the material body of a people. The material body of any people has simple means and needs spiritual guidance by a Spiritual Hierarchy; this is totally lacking today, since the world is controlled by the Children of Darkness and Matter. The idea that we should be “People Haters” is ludicrous, and has, once more, been imported from outside these islands. It is our sworn duty and responsibility to get out to the people, and to help those who are susceptible to change to take the right path in life.
It may well be true to say that the mass of people will perish in the rubbish heap created by their own idiotic lifestyles - perish in the concrete jungles that have sprung up everywhere in our once Sacred Land. It may well be true to say that the vast majority care little for anything bar them-selves; and that they are self-centred & egotistical to the extreme. They have been led that way by false leaders. The masses never achieve anything - it is just the few with the will to change the order of things that make great historical changes. The masses are led - they never lead.

If we are to override the self through our own self-sacrifice for our Folk, then we must first realise that we have a responsibility towards that Folk. It is our duty to try to change our Folk, and to try to help our Folk evolve upwards towards perfection. The many will never go far, but we cannot throw aside our responsibility towards the few who will. Our self-sacrifice must be for our Folk at all levels.

The Hierarchical Order – The Divine Order of the Gods -

The Head - The Kon, the Priest-King, the highest leadership and the brain of the organism. This is the Divine King whose essence is of the God-Head. Solar Essence.

The Arms and Hands - The Earls, the Warrior-Aristocracy, the leadership of the Folk. These are skilled in the Magical Arts and are the Warrior-Mystics and the Sun-Initiates. Solar Essence.

The Thighs - The Karls, the farmer-provider whose role is procreation and fertility. This is the yeoman-peasant - the backbone of a rural society. Lunar Essence.

The Legs & Feet - The Thralls, the servile class, the slaves, the manual workers. This is the lowest class at the lowest part of the body. Lunar Essence.

It can be seen from the above that the parts make up the whole of the organism; and that no part can operate without the rest. Or at least not to the full potential of the organism. It is also true to say that although the first two classes are formed from a Solar Essence they really have within them the balance of Sun-Moon. This is the balance of Light & Darkness. It is also just as necessary to incorporate the Lunar Mysteries into any true Folk-Religion since there is a need to cater for all levels of the organism.

It is thus essential to understand that there is a need to build a Folk-Movement that embraces all levels of society. It is also necessary to build up a Folk-Leadership structure that will be required to lead the Folk at some future date when the time is right. This Folk-Leadership will be the Solar Warriors who take up the Way of the Wera and who are the Sun-Initiates - the “Twice-Born” who take up the long struggle in dedicating their lives to their Folk. This is our first and most important task today.

The Wera dedicates his life to Woden; here it has to be understood that one of the many names of Woden is “Ladler of Misfortune”. It is true to say that misfortune and ill-luck befall many who  give their lives to Woden. This is all part of the work of Initiation, for it is only through great struggle that we can become honed as Warriors of Woden. The Way of the Warrior is not easy; it is the most difficult path that we have taken up. The Warrior-Mystic has to train his body, mind, and spirit in order to achieve full harmony in the human organism. He has to be able to understand the workings of Nature so as to harmonise with the Forces of Nature and thus to be able to use the Forces of Nature to his advantage. The Wera has to become the Einheriar - the “One-Harriar” - who works as the Lone Wolf and who has to face the highest opponent possible - himself! The hardest thing to do is to recognise one’s own faults, and then to try to transform them into positive attributes, but this is the way we shall go.
